Gramophone magazine 'Editor's Choice', October 2007: 'Gál's quartets betray the hand of someone steeped in the classics yet having something uniquely his own to say. . .They provide the sort of music that seems to grow richer with each hearing, especially in such sympathetic performances. . . Very strongly recommended.'
